24th May 2008 - Bank West's Rate Tracker Home Loan - looks under the odds

Bank West's Rate Tracker home loan has continued to be the popular choice among Dream Run customers over the past few weeks. This loan has a full one percent (1.00%) discount below the average standard variable rate charged by the top 4 banks and surprsingly no ongoing fees which has attracted borrowers hit by recent interest rate rises.

The extra volume of loans going to Bank West, has adversely affected that lender's ability to provide speedy approvals, with some industry sources suggesting they are running at 300% capacity. This slower service does not seem to be deterring borrowers however, who are prepared to wait in order to get some rate relief by re-financing their existing loans.

While on the subject of Rate Tracker home loans, Dream Run has confirmed that its customers will still get a little extra track action by announcing that this loan will qualify borrowers for a share in a Dream Run syndicate, despite the lower commission rates paid on this product by the lender.
